Great Car, very elegant, far better looking than the older fastback coupes. The biggest eyesore is not the driver, or even his sordid plastic vest or whatever he is wearing, but the god damned yellow plastic square KEY CHAIN that ruins the view of the beautiful gauges and dash. GET A DECENT KEY CHAIN, MAN!

To be more precise, this is the M88/3 engine with 286 HP. The M88 engine was the one found in the BMW M1 road car with 277 HP. This engine pulls like a train in 2nd and 3rd gear...Addictive. What a machine. Totally different from the US Spec M6...This M635CSi is THE one to own.

The clutch is no different from any other clutch! It's a bog standard 9½" Borg & Beck clutch the same as dozens of British cars - Jags / Healeys / Triumphs - even Land Rovers. I took a test drive in a 365 and the geezer selling it was sitting next to me wetting himself because I changed gear smoothly instead of banging the clutch out the way he did. "You're slipping the clutch! You're not supposed to slip the clutch! It's a special clutch and I've only just had it changed!" etc etc. (He had had it changed too - when I got it home, I found that all the half-shaft bolts were still loose...)

As I recall from an interview, Sammy Hagar burned out the clutch on his Ferrari during the making of this video. Due to the V.O.A. tour, he didn't have time to get it fixed until 1985. He had it in Claudio's shop the same time Eddie Van Halen had a car in the shop. Ed asked Claudio whose Ferrari that was. Claudio suggested Ed give Sammy a call. It's interesting that this led to Sammy Hagar in Van Halen.

Very interesting, the handling of this wonderfull but also sensitive motor. Fifty years ago I had an italian sporty car - his name was also beginning with "F", the rest of the name was a little bit otherwise 😂. But to start and to drive untill the high-revving-engine had the correct temperature, was nearly the same procedure. Who would not consider this like a friend of me, this motor broke down after 20.000 miles. My engine was else good after 80.000 miles. If I could pay a Ferrari in my old days, I would buy such a 365 or 400 or 412. This cars are very fast, have good comfort and look very, very good.
